Transport Systems and Urban Mobility: Analysis and Proposition of Solutions for Cargo and People Transport Problems

Description: Traffic plays a fundamental role in the daily life of a city. It must offer fluidity, accessibility and guarantee safety to all its elements: drivers, vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists, paying attention to the order of priority established in item II, of art. 6 of Section II of Chapter 1 of Law No. 12,587 of January 3, 2012 that deals with the National Urban Mobility Policy. This research project aims to analyze transport and urban mobility systems solutions in the context of both people and cargo movement. It is intended to study solutions and the implementation of strategies that reduce travel demand, especially for individual transport and the implementation of more adequate public transport systems and associated with the socioeconomic context of the region to which they are inserted, as well as the aspects and impacts related to urban mobility in general.
